Annual River Sweep
We are looking for volunteers like YOU! Beginning in 1989, the Ohio River Sweep is an annual cleanup event that extends over the entire length of the Ohio River. There are six states that border the Ohio River that, each year, gather volunteers to work together on a huge project: litter removal of the river and its tributaries. This event is a fun, kid-friendly event! Come join us and make a positive impact in our community.

Volunteer for the Annual River Sweep in Boone County! This fun outdoor program gets hundreds of people involved and volunteering out in the community to clean up the Ohio River and its tributaries. FREE t-shirts are provided and a raffle will be available at each site. Partnered with ORSANCO, Boone County Conservation District, Boone County Parks, and City of Florence.
