At the June 11, 2019 Fiscal Court meeting, the Court unanimously approved and awarded the construction bid for the new Burlington community plaza. This public space will be located in Burlington’s historic downtown district on KY - 18, nestled between the Boone County Justice Center and the County Administration building. 

The Vietnam Veterans Memorial will be installed at the southeast corner of the plaza (previously, located on Veterans Way).

The Burlington community plaza will include amphitheater seating, urban landscaping, two pergolas, 12 benches, and many more of the items familiar with urban-green spaces. Construction will begin July 1^st and be completed at the end of the year.
