Jeff's Bio:
Jeffrey S. Earlywine serves as the County Administrator and Deputy Judge/Executive for Boone County, Kentucky. Appointed to this role in June of 2006, he has ultimate oversight of fourteen departments, has primary responsibility for all administrative decisions and oversees the day-to-day activities of the County government. Prior to his role with Boone County, Jeff served the City of Fort Thomas, Kentucky, as both City Administrative Officer and Assistant Administrative Officer. His career spans more than 37 years of service in local government.
Jeff holds a master’s degree in public administration from Xavier University, a Bachelor of Science Degree from Northern Kentucky University, and an Associate of Applied Science Degree from Cincinnati Technical College. Mr. Earlywine is an active member of the International City/County Management Association (ICMA), Kentucky City/County Management Association (KCMA), serving as president from 2004-2005, and the Northern Kentucky City/County Management Association, serving as chair in 1988. Jeff has served on several community boards and associations including the Northern Kentucky Drug Strike Force, Northern Kentucky Consensus Committee (1998), Municipal Government League of Northern Kentucky (City representative), Kentucky League of Cities (Board of Directors 2004-2005, Legislative Committee 2005) and the Northern Kentucky Independent District Health Department Board, among others.
Jeff Earlywine is an ICMA Credentialed Manager and has been honored as Outstanding City/County Manager of the Year in both 1991 and 2005 by the Northern Kentucky City/County Management Association. In his time away from work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, as well as, tennis, running, cycling, gardening, and traveling.
