VOLUNTEERS IN POLICE SERVICE 

In recent years the demands on law enforcement have increased dramatically. Resources are being stretched at a time when we need every available officer on the beat. Local law enforcement is turning to civilian volunteers. VIPS draws on civilian volunteers to provide appropriate assistance and allow law enforcement to better perform their frontline duties.

VIPS opportunities exist with the Florence Police Department. Law enforcement officials are incorporating community volunteers into their activities as they deem appropriate to meet their needs.
